    !SHEESH!

any builders or others know why?
or making any predictions on prices...

i've got a couple of projects that require some framing and plywood...
this looks like prices have doubled in the last year or so.
Our pool deck needs to be rebuilt, and the price of lumber has me looking at a freestanding pool ladder for this year!

I was talking to the construction supervisor across the street, who said they're having a hard time getting lumber and plastics to rebuild our neighbor's house that went up in flames last fall. Told him I went grocery shopping and canned goods were sparse. He said he's been stocking up for a year. I told him I've been stocking up forever😁

I did get some more canned goods and I hope we don't have any guests who need to use the guestroom closet, bc they'd be out of luck! I've laid in a few hundred dollars more food and water this month and next - a rain barrel or 3👍

stopped by local hardware/lumber business (small town small chain but mighty convenient) in our county seat.
preacher friend was there and we caught up on old times.
i was buying roofing repair stuff... he was buying 1 2x4

over 10.00 i showed shock out loud... salesman and clerk glared at me... (both knew me by name)

i apologized when i got to register, and clerk said "things are getting crazy.. prices through the roof."

Maybe that would be a better investment than a gas station!
